TOMS Giving More Shoes in the USA

Have you seen yesterday’s story on the blog for TOMS Shoes? In addition to TOMS giving more shoes in the US, they announce their selection of National Relief Charities as their domestic Giving Partner.

TOMS says they’re excited about our partnership.  We’re really excited too! TOMS is the company that started the movement known as “One For One” and this means that for every shoe they sell, they give a pair to a child in need. We are excited that they chose to give to children on the reservations.

Our first year of working with TOMS has been positive and we’ve already distributed TOMS shoes to many school districts on the reservations we serve. They were delighted!

One of the mostexciting aspects of our partnership is TOMS’ commitment to repeat giving. The children in our communities, many of whom have never had new shoes, can look forward to a new pair of TOMS every year. That is great for the kids and a relief for their parents.

We’ll be posting updates here about our quest with TOMS, so check back frequently. To learn more about TOMS, you can visit their blog and Facebook page.
