Elections 2018: Native American Women Make History
The 2018 mid-term elections resulted in many ‘firsts,’ including the first Native American women ever elected to Congress. Electing Native American leaders into Congress gives a voice to the unique barriers Native communities face, while also introducing a new perspective on shared concerns across their districts.
Supporting Strong Native Women as Emerging Leaders
This year, PWNA is launching the first 4 Directions Development Program for Strong Native Women. This is an all-women cohort with funding and support of the PepsiCo Foundation, which invests in partnerships and programs to support at least 1.5 million girls and women becoming more workforce ready in the coming years.

Emerging Leaders Making a Difference Today
PWNA launched the 4 Directions capacity building service to provide ongoing support to emerging tribal leaders, enhancing personal and professional development and their ability to have a greater impact on the lives of those around them.
