Can I Visit the Reservations in the Plains?
I mentioned knowing more about the culture, history, and traditions of the people who live on the reservations and that many tribes welcome visitors and have information for visitors on their websites.
NRC serves 26 reservations in 6 of the northern Plains states: Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Idaho, and Nebraska. Below is a list of historical and cultural sites that you can visit on the Plains reservations where we work. In a couple of days, I’ll add a list of off-reservation sites that also relate to Plains Indian history and culture.
